Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights - Top Ten Winners

I am so very thankful to everyone who voted for my card  last month which finished in the top ten again. The top ten winners get to hop again with the same theme which is 'Flowers'

For this card I have used a new product coming in the Occasions Catalogue.
'Brusho' is paint crystals. This was my first time using this product and I am really happy with my card. I think you will be able to achieve many different looks. Lots of fun to just play and see what happens.

So this is how I made my card -
I used a piece of shimmery white card stock and with my aqua painter did a water wash over the entire card. Then using my Brusho (with just the one pin hole in the top) I shook crystals out over my card. I didn't cover the whole thing, just a few sprinkles here and there. I then took my aqua painter again and wet the crystals more so they spread. If there was a bit too much colour I just wet it again and soaked up the excess with paper towel. I wanted a few lighter spots so just applied more water to dilute the crystals and then dabbed at it with the paper towel.

When you look at my finished card, you can see those extra dark patches are gone. Just diluted with water and soaked up with the paper towel.
Once my card stock was dry, I stamped my flowers in versa mark and then applied gold embossing powder and heat to get the shiny gold.
I have also coloured the inside of the flowers using the Brusho. This was done by sprinkling a small amount of the crystals onto one of my acrylic blocks and then with my aqua painter, picking up the crystals from the block and 'painting' the inside of my flowers.

I actually did this twice to get the nice dark red on the flowers.

AND - the finished project.
I would love to hear what you think.
