Let's Get Hopping #20 - Colouring Techniques

Hello and welcome to another Let's Get Hopping blog hop. This month we are focusing on colouring techniques.

I have recently discovered no line water colouring and I am in love!
With no line water colouring, you stamp your image on water colour or shimmery white paper in a pale colour. I used Smoky Slate ink, stamped off. Using an aqua painter and and your choice of ink colours you start to colour. I picked a small part of the flower and lay down some water. I then picked up some ink with the aqua painter and put it on the image where I had placed the water. You can dry your aqua painter on a piece of paper towel and use it to remove and spread the ink on your image. I think it looks most effective when there are light and dark patches in your colouring. I have used the flowers from the Love What You Do stamp set, fussy cut them after colouring and adhered them to our narrow note cards.  I have stamped the same flowers in Tuxedo Memento Black on the envelopes too.  A cute linen thread bow finished each card.  My 'Thanks' sentiment is from the Country Home stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Next up is Tracy Bish - Hop over to see what gorgeous colouring technique she has for us.

Have a great day.
